96 2.5TL lowered on Function Form Type 1s.
I didn't change the spring rate/ pre-load on the coilovers. And they were a direct bolt-on no problems whatsoever, if you're a 2.5. And the fitment could of went a lot smoother if I ran a 40 series tire, but I had these laying around and put them to use. Expect major hammering as the rear fender is no room so you have to hammer + roll and pull.
Oh alright cool atleast i know now what suspension works i really appreciate it again seeing as no one else seems to say yes or no haha, hopefully ill have some pictures of the TL on here soon, gotta stop dumping money into my civic
Made 430hp and ran a 10.90 @132, not too shabby for a street car.

haha I haven't been on here in a while. I almost bought some omni power coilovers for my 96 2.5 but they are sold. I am now looking to purchase some TEIN basic coilovers for a prelude for decent price.
Funny how I was in question about spring rates for stock oem 2.5 springs when I found this thread page as a result on google. I fricken LOVE you used FF1 coilovers when so many dropped TLs are just springs. I found a lot of useful knowledge of the 2.5 being compatible with the 94-97 accords on here and was determined to just get some full body 1pc coilovers based on this information to dump mine.
So the debate I've seen most is making sure of spring rates of other cars vs 2.5 because of the heavier car. When using aftermarket springs/coilovers, the spring rates are higher anyways so why does it matter. So if the accord is 200F 175R and the FF1 is say 600F 400R, that will handle the weight difference I would hope. Accord about 2850 vs 2.5tl 3200lbs?? so not a big difference and spring rates can be changed.
17s look so right on this car! I plan to get some 17x7 RSX s wheels for daily use until my del sol is drivable again. Then I can put out the cash for some nice 2 piece wheels.

glad i have a 2.5 then! your tl's the best ive seen so far bro, i got your car as my wallpaper too ahah. OH YA! the picture when you had stock wheels on and slammed it on the ff1's was that the max setting? or could it go way lower then that?
late reply but yea I know long. I think I met you before...you work at sweet tomato? I went in to eat there and I was wearing my autofashion shirt and you asked me about it and I said I drive a 3g and you said 1g....if that was you I think your car was stock then
phillipsajerk, quick question. i slammed my 2.5 tl when i come to a stop seems like the motor vibrates through the whole car more etc? my cars the same height as yours just wondering if you are experiencing the same problem, thanks
oh Phil you are a jerk....................dude that is bitchin. I can only imagine the rubbing sensation you have going on under the wheel well. I was going to go for that look but I couldnt find any with big lips on them? CLEAN
Just trying to bring back some life into the forums, sorry i've been MIA. My car was stolen late last month they took my wheels, and complete sound system, and my backpack with all my final projects
