Lightbulb Premium Fuel?

Hey, my TL says premium fuel only. it's a 98 2.5 if you didn't guess. Do all 3.2's and 2.5 of 98 require it? and if so, who out of ya'll actually follow what that says? I know i do. Just tryin to open discussion on this topic. thanks.

Yes, I use it. And yes there is a difference. My gas mileage is worse using 87, so its worth paying the extra cash in the end since you're going to PAY the same per mile.

I use premium fuel too. The only time I ever put 87 octane in it was when I had just bought it and refuelled it for the first time.

Like Ken said, there is a difference. You lose power AND fuel economy. Just put in 91 octane. It's only a marginal increase over 87. If your tank was TOTALLY empty, premium is only $4-6 extra. That's not a lot. Even if you went through a tank per week it's only $250 a year, and you wouldn't even save that money using regular since you'd lose fuel economy. If you really want to save money on gas, it makes a bigger difference to drive carefully (ie: anticipate all the stops and try to keep rolling), and keep your tires inflated to the proper pressure. Do a little search on fuel economy. I believe Sauceman has posted an EXTENSIVE discussion about it in the TSX forums.

PREMIUM FUEL BIOTCH!!!

you better be putting it in your car... if not... $20 says it won't make it passed 200,000 miles...

Anyways... with what everyone has told you up to now... If it says premium... put premium... if you don't... you'll be sorry...
