Hello Everyone,
I have 1997 Acura 3.2 TL and I would like to know if there is any information on swapping my 3.2 TL with 3.5 RL 2000 and any compatibility issues? I was looking to go with a type II 95 but the newer 3.5 RL has a bigger displacement. Can I also keep the existing transmission etc. Thanks for the info

 

Well, you have a 1st gen TL (UA3), which means you have a the guts/powerplant of an 2nd gen Acura Legend (KA7/KA8) and the 1st gen RL (KA9) (minus the 3.5 Block of course). That being said, these sites may help you with planning a swap build. These are what I am using to assist me with my build. The problem I ran into is the ECU or the car's computer. Our TL's ECU is a little different due to the obd1 and obd2.
