Alright, here is the scoop.

So I love the "yellow" look our fog lights produce....

My condoms broke so I decided to remove them and buy some hyper white bulbs to see how they would look.

I miss my yellow fogs, and I have bought three sets of so called "yellow" fog lights off of ebay, only to find that when they arrive that the bulb is clear w/a rainbow tint to it... Those look like a nasty pale factory headlight yellow.

Short of going to a glassblowing shop and getting some new condoms made... does anyone know of a bulb that will produce a yellow light as intense as the original yellow. Or anyway I can make the damn bulb yellow... clear paint? Some of those high temp "bulb sleeves" made out of rubber that come in different colors?

Dammit...

 

PIAA makes a yellow Ion bulb . Its very intense and Im not sure if the lenses can take the heat.

It is a bummer, I am having a similar issue. Condoms aren't broke, but 1 of my headlights is brand new, so the new fog is bright yellow, and the old fog is all faded and nasty. 2 completely different colors of yellow. SUCKS, and looks stupid.

 

steps to rid self of annoyance:

1. buy another new fog if you really want it the same.
2. be unannoyed.

hey beeb....i'm in phoenix as well. i don't have a TL anymore, but i'll keep an eye out for a mismatched fog light TL and i'll give you a wave!

 

i broke one condom.. the remnants are floating inside the fog housing... i would like to get a replacement, but honda does not sell the condom seprately.. they saying 280 for the whole housing..

Yawl dont have yellow H-3 bulbs in the U.S.? In Japan, theyre about $50--$100 a pair...3500k to like 7500k

 

The bulbs are cheap, maybe 10 bucks here. Its the yellow housing that costs a lot of money

 

Where do you guys live? Holy shit it must get really foggy, and if its that foggy whose gonna notice who you are??

 

I drive with them on by themselves all the time, hooked up to the carptuer, I like the way they look.

Its REALLY foggy here in the winter. Sometimes cant see 20 feet in front of you. The foglights make a HUGE difference.

 

If i were you guys id do this...

...do the H3 conversion and do a set of yellow fogs...

i sell em for about 45 for the set, i dont know how reliable the h3c to h3 DIY is that is posted cuz i havent tried it yet...but im thinking about getting another car so i might not even waste my time...

but just go to www.spwindustries.com they are the only ones that i have seen to carry the H3c bulb.

Tiffany is going to sue e-bay for selling fake Tiffany products....saying e-bay should be responsible of what is being sold,who is selling and their credibilty/customer satisfaction.Anyways,anybody want yellow HID's?

 

Naw bro...trust me i can back it up...i have a set of the 881 and the 880 sittin on my rack right now...and they shine yellow...just like the original fogs...glad i can be of sevice.
