I'm currently at 140,000 and have no issues to speak of. I've had to do a few maintainence items here and there, but its all wear and tear
There is another very similar thread going on right now, I would check up on that.
50K EASILY. I got my 97 2.5 with 127,000 for $6000, with no service history. I'm at 148,500 right now with no issues.

Here is the history of this car. It already has 5 owners and sold in an auction by original owner. After 10/09/2003, no mileage reading or inspection reported. I felt this is not a clean car, any comment? Thanks!

i wouldnt man, inspectionfailed? doesnt sound good...and really i would go over all the common problems of 3.2/2.5 and notice to see after a test drive if ur car has it..mainly the manifold and tranny u need to test out, cuz mines really upsets me.

Remember, one of the big reasons Honda has the extended emissions warranty to 150K or whatever is that a whole slew of them were failing. Looks to me that it failed, taken to the dealer under the original warranty and corrected. Owner went back and it passed. Absolutely no big deal here.
Even passing title at the auction is not a big deal. vehicle comes up on its lease, they take it back, sell it at auction.
What you want to be scared of is:
Here is what I think - Those reports are a bunch of bull.
What you may not have seen is that accident when it had 10,000 miles that required $18K of repair work done to it. Why was it not reported????
--Because there was not a police report, and the insurance quietly fixed it without making a report to the MVA saying that it was in an accident!!!
This whole Carfax is a bunch of bull. Check my past posts on specific examples.
In the last 3 weeks have talked to people with two cars that will have perfectly clean reports if you look up their VIN:
2004 Toyota 4 Runner which ended up needing $25K of work.
2004 F-250 which needed a complete frame and other body work done to it. The total on that one was around $25K.
Woohooo they are nice cars....
But to answer your question, it does not look bad in my book. Could go for hundreds of thousands further. No police reports, nothing funny, no flood history, etc.
Carfax is putting the warm and fuzzies where it should not, and fear uncertainty and doubt where it should not.
And who are they protecting?
The insurance companies, not you, not me.
The best way for you to protect yourself is to pay for a State Inspection and have the inspector really check it out. Perhaps pay extra. Then have a good bodyman look at it to see if it has been hit. Look down the windows, in the quarter panels, etc.
If the dealer says no, then reply with the same response - quickly.

Carfax has to be taken with a grain of salt. If it shows up clean with jsut dealership service, all that means is that it was serviced at a dealership, nothing more, nothing less.
