wood trim needs to go...

So for the most part i love our cars with the exception of one thing; the wood trim inside looks so frickin fake and tacky. I'm planning on ordering the regular taupe plastic window switches for all the doors b/c i just cant stand the look of the wood. The trim in the front though on the dash doesn't have any plastic replacements but i've seen people on CarDomain (i think) with the wood trim done in white and i've also heard something about brushed aluminum. I was wondering if anyone had any information on this or if anyone has painted the trim or something. Ehhh, the wood's just so cheesy.

I think I'd even like that better than the Carbon Fiber.

Some of my interior is wood. Originally the dash had wood, but I'm somewhat concerned what would happen in an accident, so I took that part out. Currently its only the center console that has wood (except the cupholder lid). It looks quite classy, especially with the chrome shift plate next to it.
