Where to go to buy parts from Japan?

So I want to give this a try to see if I can find any strut bars for the UA2 from Japan, and possibly pick up some JDM corner lenses that has the amber insert. Does anyone know a good japanese site for stuff like this?

the strut bar? you can get GAB, thats available in japan. A few members here have it on their car, I can't remember his alias but he has a skyblue 2.5. as far as i know, there is only a strut bar for 2.5s.

Yeah, I can't find it on any english sites, so I figured I'd try straight from japan.

Though I did find these, but I'm not too sure if they are the right ones

I can get three different brands of front strut bars, but they're expensive and not really worth it, IMO. After tax, you're looking at roughly $150-$200 plus shipping to the US, and it takes awhile. Let me know.

What are you talking about? Our cars never had amber corners in the headlights. You're thinking ricer, paint all cars' corners amber because it makes it so JDM-tyte-yall. Like that set of headlights that popped up on eBay:

In the original thread, I posted a pic of how you're SUPPOSED to do corners but I still don't know why you would:

I'm actually talking about the bumper lights, I remember seeing that the JDM ones weren't completely clear like the clear corners we can buy here. Kinda matches the JDM tails with that little faint amber underneath the clear.

I'm definitely interested in getting a decent strut bar. The body roll is pretty bad on our cars and I get scared whenever I hear the windshield make weird sounds when i turn. Do you think you can quote me on them with shipping to PA 15601, USA?

^Oh, you're talking about Inspire winkers, aka turn signals. It's an amber cap inside the unit, exactly like our rears. I'll see if I can still get the bars since I don't know if they're still available. Best thing for body roll is actually a sway bar, not a strut bar, but we don't have any of those, either, hehe.

sway bar wise are we looking at something like this?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ST-SU...QQcmdZViewItem

Too bad that auction has ended.

If you can still find the strut bars it would be great. Really appreciate your help go90go

Do I still need the strut bar or is that just redundant?

@triggerc

Good job in scoring that sway bay set. You could still get the strut bar, but the difference won't be as noticeable compared to those sways. I'm still waiting for an answer, but it looks like I'll have to have it shipped first to my address in Japan, then over here. The price keeps going up and up.

@TimmyPB,

They help with chassis flex and body roll in cornering, helping keep your car planted through a turn.

Thanks go90go, I might end up getting the strut bar as well because that's considerably easier to install, I have no idea about when I'll be able to get the sway bars on the car.

BTW they have another set for sale on eBay if anyone's interested in them.

Look up Acurazine sponsor and vendor MrHeelToe in Off Topic Sponsored Sales area

Marcus has in stock- or can get, all sorts of jap spec stuff or JDM as they call it- japanese domestic market- has many more parts in stock than are listed on his website so call and ask for what you want
He also worked for Honda and knows all the parts that will swap between cars
www.heeltoeauto.com
1-949-295-1668 pacific time zone

tower bars and lower frame braces hold the chasis tighter so the rest of the suspension and sway bars have a stable platform to do their work from
If you have windshield noise in cornering- they will fix it

I'm not too sure if I want to spend my money on a strut bar or a short ram right now. I'm kinda concerned about the intake being overbearingly loud, but I would like to have a little performance gain. You guys got any opinions on what I should get between the two?

I would get the short ram intake first. I have the weapon R, it's not loud at all unless u floor it. I honestly like the sound. I guess you can save money too by buying a no name brand, its just a pipe with a filter. Make the car faster before you make it handle better. Also I think rims and tires will make the biggest difference in handleing.

^ Yeah, rims will make the car probably handle worse. Besides, large diameter rims will actually slow acceleration because of the ratio changes, and by adding rotating mass/weight. Handling/braking should always be a priority over acceleration for obvious reasons. You want to still have a car to mod, right? Unfortunately, myself included, acceleration performance modifications went ahead of braking modifications, as it did for most people.

nm, for some reason I got a refund from the seller saying "there was an error with the system and the product isn't actually released yet", bummer

So, go90go, got any news on the strut bar?

Not yet, I don't think my girlfriend wants to help me send it or bring it over when she comes back over here, hehe. We've been fighting a little recently, but I'm going to try. There's one from Feel's that's roughly $200. I don't have a pic ATM, as I'm not home. Will let you know!
