Question Wheels and Tires

Will 17x7 rims with a +40mm offset with 215/45/17 fit on the 96 2.5 TL? It is not lowered and will not be later either.

What is a good method to determine what size rims and tires on should get that will not sacrifice handling and comfort. I just bought a 96 2.5TL and it is completely stock but the rims are too small I think.

Cool, thanks dude. What about the lug pattern, they are 4x100 and 4x114.3, they have eight holes.

'96 has a different offset. I believe it is +38

yes, it's the 3.2 and the 2.5 have different offsets.

stick with 55mm for 3.2's and I hear 40mm for 2.5 is fine.

All this is relative to the tire size/width as well but a general # to stick to.
