Vibration at idle

I have a pretty shaky vibration when the car is below approx 1200 rpm, above that its smooth.Almost feels like car is going to die but idle is at 750-770 rpm and doesn't fluctuate. If it sits at light for a little while CEL will start flashing, but when I start driving the CEL stops flashing. Car has normal power when above 1200 rpm and goes when I give it gas from idle without hesitation. I haven't looked at the spark plugs yet but checked the wires and everything seem snug.
Any ideas?

One of your mounts might be done.

Flashing CEL usually means the engine is missing. Missing causes vibration. Check engine codes (Obd2 code reader) when light comes on to see which cylinders are missing.

Usual reasons are bad spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, distributor rotor. Suggest starting w/ spark plugs, distributor cap/rotor as these are relatively inexpensive. Check wires at night by spraying w/ fine water mist all over wires. Any sparks jumping indicate cracked wires.

good luck

Had oil changed with the timing belt recently and had just got the car back the other day when this started. I checked the oil and they filled it double past the oil mark .
I'm going to have them drain it back down. I'm thinking this might what is causing the misfire with that much oil.
Is that possible???

Too much oil might lead to oil fouling of spark plugs. Ask them to clean and gap plugs.

good luck
