Yeah, there are more screws. I cant remember exactly where because I dont have the first gen anymore. I replaced the old tweets with new ones. I know there's a way to do it. Do a search, im sure this has been talked about before.

its here somewhere

I posted this somewhere on this site, it's pretty easy. Search for rear view mirror. I will try to find it also.

found it-

1. Pull off plastic dome light cover.
2. Remove the one bolt 10mm.
3. Remove the speaker bracket, comes right off and disconnect
plug.
4. Pull the back end (closest to windshield) straight down, there
are two metal clips, pull kinda hard and slide back to get out.
5. The mirror is right there.

Aight, Sorry to bother anyone again....But Is there anyway to amplify the sound coming out of the Dome light speakers....They sound like the watts have been stepped down.....cuz If I splice into my rear speakers they are loud, but if I hook them up, up there the sound is de-amplified....or Sounds like it at least....

Mine are real soft, too. But, I have tweeters in the upper dash pods and maybe they over power the other location.

Sometimes I wonder if they are still connected.
