Turn signal/parking lot sync?
I was wondering if anyone ever connected their front upper parking light to blink with their turn signals. I did this to my old car ('93 Corolla) and it was pretty cool (also JDM but whatever). I'm thinking about doing it to this car but if someone already did it I'd rather have them explain how instead of me being the first.

Was thinking of doing this, but instead installed a side repeater. Wiring it up to light up as you said would be easy. Tap 2 wires into signal and disconnect your park light and connect to taps.

Remember your park lights are side markers. It provides visibility. You might want to consider, park-signal combination.
When park lights on…side marker on. When signal on…side marker blinks.
This will require full understanding of the wiring diagram. But as soon as you figure out colors and 12V sourcing, it should be a breeze.

The way I had it with my Corolla was that the parking light and turn signal would alternate blinking, and the parking light was always on when the turn signal wasn't. I'm going to try and do that.

In order for me to do it I need some help figuring out how to wire it. I read the DIY for making the turn signal always stay on by changing to a dual filament bulb. I could do that pretty easily but it's not what I want to do. I want the parking light to act like the turn signal and completely turn off when it blinks, not have another filament that blinks brighter. Then, when the signal turns off, it should go back to being always on.
I tried to find the write up for how I did it on my old car but it doesn't seem to exist anymore. Something about splicing a power into a ground and leaving another ground unconnected. Any electricians wanna help out?

You can use an NC relay to take care of that. When it senses a signal from the winker, it opens the circuit and the light turns off.
The way you're describing makes the bulb ground out and was a trick to make a fast blinker without taking any of the bulbs out or switching to a low-load LED.
~Cheers~

See if this makes sense.
You have 2 wires, tap on the positive (+) of the park light and then tap the other on the positive (+) of the signal.
For Honda, the signal gets the + power on ground (or vice versa).
Should work as you want. The side marker light will stay on…with park lights on.
Then blink when the signal lights blink, but will blink alternately. Got it?
Again, I can not certify that this will work. I have heard that both Toyota and Honda use this kind of wiring. Go to 12volts.com
