Hey guys,

on my 96 2.5 tl I was just wondering. It kind of a stupid question, but on the cars ive owned i havent had this happen.

With the engine off when you manually push the throttle body cable all the way open the cable comes undone. But when i floor the car the cable doesnt get undone.

Is this so you can remove the cable easier? And the gas pedal doesn't pull the cable far enough to cause it to come off when driving? (if you floored it)

Sorry if this sounds confusing i cant think of a way to better ask the question.

 

I actually had this same exact question after I messed with the throttle last night. Anybody have an answer?
