those of u that know systems

Just the other night my system hit the ****ter. litterally as i put my car into drive and started drivng my subs just shut off nothing. i got out of the car and checked the wiring everything checked out fine, all the wires were attached fine and the fuse was good. I noticed both my protection, and power lights were on, however my power light was very dimly lit. The next day i took my subs out and cheked the wiring from the amp to the subs it was fine. i also checked the wiring from my head unit to my amp it was good. Does ne body have ne idea what may have been wrong. I mean nothing is coming out of them not one thing at all its just like there not even there.
