96-97 premium package came with traction control, heated mirrors, heated seats (maybe this was standard) and some other stuff.

For 1998, all 3.2s had what the premium package had, except for traction control. It was the one option.

I don't have traction control, so I can't tell you how it is.

tcs does work

hi, new to the forum

about tcs...yeh in my opinion it really does work and has saved my ass on more than one occasion. not really much use in dry weather - i think it could actually slow you down a bit if you mashed the pedal when taking of from a stoplight. but in wet weather, it helps keep the front tires planted instead of spinning uselessly.

however, i found in most beneficial during the winter months. Was driving on I-64 after an icestorm, and when accelerating the "TCS" light on the dash would illuminate, indicating that it was working. It was especially useful when merging - kept the car going straight and no slippage whatsoever. I've also had it kick in on uphill slopes on snowy days - this can slow your progress because it cuts your power and forces you to go slower but it is safer overall. Thats bout it.

Yeah, TCS is pretty good on ice or snow. The "off" switch is useful for going up slippery driveways (TCS tends to get in the way on slippery hills) and for stoplight races.
