supid question

I have a 98 3.2 that i recently bought. Above the rearview mirror, behind the two speakers and light there is like a plastic cover for something. What the hell is under that? It looks kind of cheap if theres no use for it. I wondered if it might be where garage door openers would be, like on the new TL's, but don't think so. If anyone has a clue, please resond.

Yeah that plastic slot is a "ticket holder". It comes in handy when you have slips of paper you need and that it can be easily accessible. I place my Raptor Basket ball tickets when I drive to games. I think its handy...the only thing I don't like about the design is that they didn't make a place were i can keep my eye glasses in . I also don't like the writing (Caution Warnings) on the sun protector cover.

Actually, i hate that so much that they put the warnings on the sun visors. It looks so damn cheap. As far as glasses go, i keep my sunglasses in my cup holders, they fit pretty well there. God knows that they made the glove compartment too damn small. while we're answering little things about that interior -- what is that little black vent like thing to the left of the climate control gears. Its almost right next to the ignition, but in the wood strip of the dash. My best guess on that one is that's where the temperature gague is for the climate control.
One more thing, did every model come with the "change tray" instead of the ash tray, with the tacky red felt? or was that some lame option.

I thought that black vent was the speaker that beeps if you leave the keys in the ignition or the headlights on? Maybe not though. Also, can't you pull off that red felt in the ashtray and its a normal ashtray underneath?

interesting, in my helm's manual it says that the sensor on the front right speaker by the windshield is the daylight sensor. but i think that's only for the canadian models cause they have their daylight running lights.

the black vent is the temp gauge for automatic climate control
so is the small thing next to the speaker on teh left side

the canuck (Canadian) models do not have daytime running light sensors...

My visors were completely recovered when I had the TVs installed. I dont even remember what side the sticker was on anyway. How come some people are saying they dont have a sticker while others say they do? Thats weird...
