Sunlight Sensor???
Ok, before i get the stupid answer to this stupid question... i want to say... I know the sunlight sensor senses sunlight...
But what is it for... is there a feature on my 2.5 that i don't know about??? For those that don't know, the sunlight sensor is located by the tweeter on the dash... Anyone know whats it for??? Some secret feature... or does it just sense the light and that is it...
I did a search... and the only thread that has this is the Sticky on how to replace tweeters...
Anyone know???
BTW: i'm guessing the 3.2 has it too...

im guessing that its for what most of the sunlight sensors are for...to regulate your A/C....based on the temperatures outside and the sunlight rays calculating different factors together its more of a comfort feature cause it will adjust the A/C or the heating to something more comfortable so you don't have too...don't quote me on that but im going on what is in the 3gen

It senses direct sunlight, in which case it will make the A/C colder when in full Auto mode. This works in combination with the temperature sensor that is somewhat near the ignition.
In the 2004+ TL's, it'll even direct MORE cold air to the side that has more sunlight.
