Steering wheel does not turn freely

On a very cold morning my 1996 2.6 TL does not like to steer freely. The steering wheel needs a tilttle bit more more power from me to turn. Gradually it work ok as the day progresses.
I atleast warm up the car 10 min before I drive it in the morning.

Any input would be appreciated.

could be your power steering fluid is low/empty, but that usually also has a pretty loud noise that goes along with it when you try to turn....

I believe there may some known issues with these, I can't recall. Been Too long since I was in Acura service. I'd call a dealer & see if they have any suggestions.

but the loud noise usually happens when its completely dry... you can still steer with little fluid in there but the steering wheel feels a bit harder/stiffer to turn w/o the noise... Now if there is no fluid and your little Power Steering fluid tank thingy is completely dry it will make a noise... Before you take it to the stealer... go check your little resavouir (spelling) and fill it to the line... also, you might want to check your PWline to see if its not loose or leaking... for the 2.5 guys i'll take a pic of it when i get home...

As promised... little late, but here is the thing that connects to where the Powersteering fluid goes too... if you see any PSF around those two bolts (where mine is all dirty...) then you might have a leak... the hose that comes up from there goes up and to the right in between the radiator fans and under the intake to your ressavouir (spelling again)... hope the pic helps a bit...

If you don't know what i'm talking about... do you see the barcode thingy... well under that you can see a hose go attached to something with 2 bolts... thats where you can check if you have a leak... I needed two bottles of PSF when i took that off... again, hope this helps...

Also check to make sure water didnt get into the PS fluid. What will happen is that it take time to melt on those cold mornings and then you "think" its working when in fact you may be damaging it.

So check it carefully.
