I got my '96 2.5TL a few months ago, and shortly after I bought it, the steering wheel makes a clicking sound every half-rotation ONLY when the signal is on. It does not do it with the signal off. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, or if it's a major problem. I wouldn't think so since it is dependent on the signal being on.

i'm pretty sure mine does that too - i think it's just the auto-off function of the blinker going to work. if you're blinking to turn right and turn the wheel to the right, it will click/ratchet to catch a tooth, so when you turn it back, it will trigger the blinker to cut off.
don't take my word for it, but i'm almost definite that's what it is - i probably just got used to it
