I just had to replace my starter. I got one with a lifetime warranty and they guy said he had to pull off the axle to get to it. Part was $238 and with labor and tax total was $396.

Well. Yes and no. Its a bit more than I paid but on the other hand, you got a lifetime warranty. So if you KEEP the car for years, its definitely work it

Either way, its a bit cheaper than the 600 or 700 some poor people pay at Acura dealerships.

i have a guy here in jersey that rebuilds starters and alternators for pretty cheap. no more than like $80. and i have never had a problem with anything i have ever gotten from him.
i was a service writer and i used to order from him constantly.
i just did my mom's 96 toyota avalon starter, the dealer wanted almost $400. just for the starter and the cheapest was autozone at $148.99.
i called my man and he rebuilt her starter for $60. and i will never even question his work. he has been in business for 28 years

i can hook some peeps up if they are interested but shipping and shit might get complicated but hey its up to you guys, just let me know.
