Stainless exhaust options

Ok, so I've poured over all of the previous exhaust questions and knowing how things can change from week to week, I'd like to get a recent post listing all of the possible exhaust options for 95-98 2.5L TL's. The mid pipe on mine is pulling away from the resonator. I'm going to try to weld it back together tomorrow, but it's getting replaced either way. I'd much prefer Stainless Steel but any options are worth considering. This is what I've gleaned from my searches so far.

  1. Trust SP2 - Haven't actually found one yet but someone here had one at one point
  2. The Fujitsubo deal from Japan. Not worth it in my book
  3. Remus - I've only found rear sections and for over $300. Anyone know a good place for these?
  4. Bosal Direct fit axleback
  5. Any universal muffler like dynomax, magnaflow, vibrant, etc
If you know of any others or have details for any of the 4 I've listed, please post.

I like the Sedalis, but personally get everything custom made for me. All one piece from Y-pipe back. Have heard great things about the Trust SP2, and have heard it in person, but not on a 2.5. Between Sedalis and SP2, looks would go to the Sedalis, but performace probably would go to the SP2, although it's negligible. I personally have a MagnaFlow with custom piping, and it works bitchin'. Sounds great, looks stock, flows well.

What size piping? 2¼"? Is it straight pipe back from the Cat or do you have a resonator in there? How does it sound at idle? I'd really like a system that sounds pretty quiet at idle but has a nice deep tone at WOT.

It's a high-flow cat into 2.25" piping because I was in a rush and forgot to use 2.5". To get what you want, don't mess with the stock cat. Just get a cat-back, my car got MUCH louder (as expected) after I swapped the cat. BTW, since you're a 2.5 and I'm 3.2, our cars already sound pretty different. You should stick with the 2.25" piping.
