springs and camber kit

what's your drop and camber kit?

96 2.5 TL w/ eibach pro-kit springs (installed) and SPC camber kit (waiting to be installed).

also, how much should i expect to spend on getting the camber kit installed?

u don't need a camber kit unless your drop is 2" or more...I have Sprint Sport springs 1.75" drop.

Its still good to have, you'll wear out your tires prematurely.

which camber kit do you have? If it's the anchor bolt ones it shouldn't be too hard. Pain in the ass but not that bad. If it's the spc ball joint camber kit then you need a shop to press it into your upper control arms. If you did your spring install and have the anchor bolt kit it shouldn't be too hard.

I get bad tire wear even WITHOUT it being lowered with the 18's on. I think there is quite a bit of negative camber by design (won't wear on the stock 65 series tirees as bad as it does the 40's!)
.... I am going to have an alignment done after the springs go in and see how close to factory specs they can get it before I do a camber kit. My Integra was dumped 2" and it STILL came into factory specs w/o a camber kit..!

I used to think that the rule of "you don't need a camber kit if you don't drop it more than x" was true... But what I am learning is that you need to get the car on the rack, do an alignment, and the bottom line is you need one if you need one... period...

I dropped mine less than 2 inches on all four corners... Had them do an alignment and the best I could acheive was:

Fronts: Within spec with slight negative camber.
Rears: One wheel within spec, but on the negative spec extreme, and one out of spec with negative camber...

I had the rear camber kits installed and am now back in spec (purposely set up with a slight negative camber)...

Well with every drop you need a camber kit. The less a drop is the tire wear won't show as fast. My accord is dropped like 2.5 in the front and 2.25 in the rear. It has about -2.2 degrees of camber in the front and -1.8 in the rear, it's killing my cheap tires pretty fast. If you rotate it often it kind of evens it out a little. Most TLs are running eibach prokit because thats one of the only springs offered. You could get by without a camber kit but tire wear will still happen.

Ya I kept mine at 1.75" dropped. No camber needed.

i got eibach pro-kits and the camber wear destroyed the tires on my aftermarket 17s. I'm not talking about 1 tire, but all 4 of them. The inner lip of the tire on all 4 wore to the belts (the tires were Nitto 555 or 450s i think).

Now i'm on the stock rims and tires and even still, the inner lip of each tire is wearing down pretty fast.

I wouldn't get it. Those have a higher chance of slipping while on your car. What kind of a drop did you have in mind for that accord?

not more than 2 inches....nothing crazy low or anything...just enough to give an agr4esive stance and improved handling...while being driveable everyday over potholes and speedbumps....

you had a modded accord right...any reccomendations.
