speedometer

is there anyway of diconnecting the speedometer without taking apart the dash???

That would be called illegal if you dont want your mileage to accumilate. However you can prolly do it from the speedometer cable connect to your tranny, however you would not be able to tell how fast your going. YOu have to make sure that it is not used as a vaccum line as well or else you will have a rough idle.

Curious why do you want to disconnect it.

thats kinda hard to do... especially with japanese cars... the wire harness is high up unless u wanna find the line to the trans... but if u actually go through and do that make sure u drive around with the car before discoinnecting it and see what speeds u r at RPM's... like 65 mph is 2500 .. and 80 is like 3000.. this will help u a little if u get pulled over for speeding and say sorry officer my speedometer just went out... hehehe

you can just find the VSS and cut that wire.
