Slow Power Windows

Hey everybody!

I've got a 96 TL, and the front power windows seem to roll up & down very slowly compared to the back ones. Is that normal, and is there anything I can do about it? Thanks a ton!

try cleaning and greasing the window tracks with a urea based grease which u can find at the dealer or a good auto parts store .......it may also be your regulator....but lets try greasing the tracks first.

For some reason, the older (better) japanese Hondas have slow windows. Our 94 Accord takes FOREVER to roll up and its like its struggling but all my friends old hondas do the same thing. The TL and new Accord roll up faster but for some reason, I hear a rattling noise on my windows. They replaced the two rear motors and it was fine for a while but now its back to normal. Whatever, I have 2k more miles until my warranty is up so I just have to live with it.

TL's are known to have that problem......at least the 1st gen.. so you all are not the only one with the problem. another problem is that there is already grease within the doors... if you look closely, you'll see that there is a stained grease marks. you'll notice it when your windows are wet. another problem is that the windows tint tend to be all scratched up. thats due to the prob with the doors. the rattling is just your windows thats loose. it rattles because a lot of times, people roll the windows HALF way down and then get out of the car and slam the car door shut. this causes the window to rattle....either you roll it all the way down or all the way up.

yeah, those two 'track marks' that run vertical up the two front windows are annoying as hell...

Those track marks really suck with tint because they show up on the tint. But I will still take my 5% tint over no tint.

Those window straches are on the outside of the window so if you could put tint on the outside it may cover it up

You don't think that a second layer on the inside would make those scratches disappear?
