Size of Front Speakers
Wait teflon are you serioius? You can replace the speakers with out redoing the entire system? I went to Circuit City just the other day(The One By Anna Miller's) and the guy told me in order to redo the speakers I would have to redo the entire ****ing system. Was that just bull****?
You do not have to upgrade your entire system if you just want to replace the stock speakers. The factory speakers are 4ohm drivers so there is no worry.
Ideally you might want to add an amplifer if you are going to replace your stock speakers because the output of the deck is not that much.

when you replace speakers you are reccomended to amplify them but if your just going with a basic system ( headunit subs amp box, speakers) you dont have to rewire them... but if your going with components then you reallyhave to rewire the speakers, because the tweeter and midrange are seperate...this includes running wire through the gromet (holding all wires into door now) and running it to where ever the amp is.
the stock size up front is 5 1/4"

Chadhova, I am using amps. My deck is a cd tuner, so amps are a must. I've changed my whole system: deck, speakers, wiring, amps, subs, cap, crossovers and circuit breaker.
Circuit City isn't the best place to shop for a great system. They carry pretty consumer oriented equipment. Go to a specialty shop like Island Sound, Progressive, etc. and see what is out there. Compare prices though.
