Seat Shaking

Okay, I have a slightly annoying rattle that I can only hear with the music off. It's not like I can't live with it. I did a search but only found third generation stuff. I was wondering if anyone else in first generation has this problem, and if there's an easy fix to it. When I go over a bump, the passenger seat shakes a bit. I know it's the seat because if I put my hand on the seat, it stops. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried just getting under it and making sure all the bolts are tight? Can you move any of it around yourself, like pull the whole thing up or forward?

That would be if the bottom half of the seat was shakeing... the four bolts that hold it to the floor of the car...

I've had the same problem with the back support of the seat shakes when i go over rough road or over a bump and it shakes and makes a weird sound, kind of like a squeek... its been a while since i paid attention to it...

Easy fix: Turn your stereo up high... if you can still hear it, its not high enough...

About the easy fix... i'll have to look at it...

I've had the same problem....

its an annoying squeaky sound... what i think it is is the door frame or rather what goes over it may not be attached as well as it should. this is the leather and plastic/vinyl that matches the interior, that's what it was in my car at least good luck with your problem hope it works out.

On rough pavement the passenger seat squeaks. It did the same thing in my Accord. If someone is sitting in it, its not a problem.

I just turn up my music some more.

I fixed it in my Accord by putting WD-40 in the seat hinges. Of course, i basically had to take the seat apart to do it but it was a lazy day for me then.

I think our TL seats would be much more of a pain to take out due to their much great weight. But hey, if you have the time.. go for it
