Question Rotors from Nopi?

Hello All,

I am in the market to buy some new rotors for my '97 3.2 TL. I don't need anything fancy such as slotted or x-drilled rotors. I've noticed that Nopi (http://www.nopionline.com) is selling all 4 Brembo plain rotors for about $140 ($35 a piece). Have any of you 1st Gen people ordered your rotors from here? How'd it go and any problems with these rotors?

Thanks in advance for your responses,
Slagboy

ive heard slotted or drilled dont really make a big diffrence... i just replaced my rotors 6 months ago, factory ones i think... all i can say is that my car stops on a dime... some time stopsa bit before i expect.
front pads go quicker the the rear ones

Yeah, the slots and x-drills are more for show than any sort of real noticeable performance from what I'm told. As for factory rotors, does anyone know from what company the factory rotors are made? I know that Brembos are a reputable company and at $35 a pop versus the $85 each for factory, the Brembos appeal more to me at this point. But I wanted to know if anyone has had any problems with ordering from Nopi or the rotors themselves from Nopi.

Thanks!
Slagboy.

the slotted rotors are suppose to help in releasing hot air when the brakes are applied. it also helps in pushing the dust through those holes instead of it flying elsewhere such as onto your aftermarket wheels which by the way is a pain in the arse to clean off!

I think this site is a good find, that is cheap.
I have brembo x-drilled for the BMW and no problems yet (knock on wood)
they do help release hot air like TL Baller said above and helps to remove dust however the dirty wheel is still the same :-)
Helping it to remove dust so the dust doesn't end up glazed on the pad and cause noise.

Of course for street driving the above wont matter much.
Let me rephrase, for normal driving the above wont matter much, I've seen a few folks driving around LA like it's a race track.
