Ride not very smooth on the highway, could it be an alignment problem?

When driving on the highway I'm finding that the wheels are shaking a little, feels like the road may be a bit uneven but this is happening everywhere when I get to higher speeds (>80 kmh). All the tires have even pressure, 30psi. The car feels smooth at lower speeds and it is not pulling to either side.

A similar shaking happens when I apply the brakes while going over 30kmh or so, especially noticeable when going downhill.

I thought that maybe a rotor may be warped a bit, but that wouldn't make sense for the highway driving. It feels like its more on the left side of the car, but I may be feeling this because I'm sitting on that side.

Any ideas? CV boots, alignment, other possibilities???

Try rotating your tires.

Agreed.. rotate your tires..

A bad rotor would cause vibration under braking

Do you get a vibration at around 60 mph/100 kph? Thats usually due to a bad axle.

sounds like warped rotors to me if u are braking and have shaking... check the brakes and have the rotors turned...

would the rotors affect the driving even when they're not being used? Or is this an issue with both rotor and axle?

Sounds like both.

The axle vibration is only in 4th gear to my knowledge between 90 and 105 kph.
