Replacing ABS Modulator

The ABS light on my '96 3.2 comes on intermittantly, and is throwing code 1-8. The manual indicates that this is a problem in the accumulator or modulator, so I figure I'll pick up a used modulator from a salvage place, and replace the whole unit.

Question: How tough a job is this to do myself? I typically do my own car-work (have swapped engines, done clutch jobs, timing belts, etc), but have never messed with ABS. Is this doable, or will I never be able to properly bleed the system, etc, on my own?

Thanks for any insight...
