Rear foglight you never heard of that? lol. Open your eyes. I see them all the time at night. Mostly on benzs bimmers audi's. If you ever see a car wit brake lamps that look like there hitting the brake but there no its a rear foglight. I had a honda accord and the america version didnt have one but the euro JDM version did. And since I have to foglight switches im taking it as it could be like that.

We, the petitioners, are all BMW owners in North America. We are petitioning BMW North America to enable the use of REAR FOG LIGHTS in BMWs sold throughout the USA. In the past several weeks, national news has covered many massive traffic accidents where cars were hit in heavy fog. The availability of rear fog lights can help to prevent such accidents and this capability should be available to US owners of BMWs, just as it is in every other country that BMWs are sold in around the world
Therefore MINIs shipped over-seas are factory equipped with the rear foglight feature. However,
in the United States there are many states which deem the implementation of rear foglight
illegal,
02-03 Type-R = Top circles brake/running lights, middle sections amber turn signals/flashers, bottom were the rear foglight on the driver's side.
hey guys i know everybody has/wants that EDM/JDM rear fog that goes into the bumper but what about a custom one thats integrated into the inner taillight?? kinda like this?

My Mercedes has one fog lamp on the drivers side (the right hand side in my country), it's really bright
They are handy and give a little added peace-of-mind in poor weather

Well overseas and a few cars here have a red lamp usually in the rear lens cluster that is turned on in very low visibility weather, like heavy fog, to prevent getting rear ended. The bulbs are relatively bright and can be very annoying if you have it on in nice weather. On occasion you may see a Land Rover or Jaguar with these left on during nice days, and it is kind of blinding if you are behind one.
Overseas a rear fog lamp is required it needs to be 100 CM away from the brake lamp so as not to confuse it with the brake. The rear fog needs to be bright too. It's usually on the drivers side be it a right or left hand drive. It seems that in the UK some Impreza's had them on both the right and left side or at least a place to put a bulb in the cluster there.
