rattling from front passenger side?

I keep getting a rattling sound coming from my front passenger side, it sounds like it coming from the wheel area. It only happens when going slow maybe (5-20 mph) over small bumps.

Im going to pull off the wheel and check it out this weekend, but I was wondering if any of you have had this problem or have any suggestions on what it could be. It drives me nuts hearing it all the time.

Ok thanks. I will check it out. If it turns out to be bad, does the whole control arm have to replaced or can I install a new balljoint?

I looked at a diagram on my repair manual and it looks like the balljoint is pressed in?

before taking off the wheel. check your movement from your tires side to side and top and bottom. if you stuck on good then your good.

Mine does the same thing, I believe its actually the exhaust, I just replaced my uppercontrol arm cuz I had a bad passenger upper ball joint and I still get this noise, I can also hear it when slamming the door shut, I had my friend do this while I was changing the oil and it was something on theexhaust

I'm having the same problem. I think it might be the shield over the catalytic. Mine started to do this after the 02 sensors were changed which is why I think its the cat shield.
