1) im wanting to tint... any brands that i should ask for ? and what % is not to riced out

2)does everyone else's car kinda run a little louder then youd think an acura should run ?? and can i fix this

3)can you leave your corners on during the daytime ? i mean i know you can , but is it a sane idea ? i want to show off the brightness

4) what is a silencer for your exhaust and would this help me ?

hehe so many questions, j/k. i'll try to do my best to help you out.

1. tint wise, i would suggest you go to a place that offers lifetime warrenty. this way if it ever gets messed up you can go back again and again. hmmm i don't know what the riced out tint look is but i'm assuming it's pretty dark. i think a 35% tint would be nice. of course there's all those different options on what types of tint you want and that all depends on your taste and the color of your car.

2. i wouldn't know about the car running louder cause within the first month i got my car i put an exhaust on there and it's been louder than stock ever since. i've driven my mom's 2000 TL and it's soooo freaken quiet. i can't even tell the engin's on.

3. as for leaving your "corner lights" on, i'm assuming you're talking about your parking lights. it is illegal to drive with them on. i would suggest you getting some city lights, if you want to have the front on and not have the lights on in the back. it gets annoying for the people behind you cause we think you're an idiot leaving your lights on in the middle of the day.

4. the silencer for the exhaust is made for only specific exhausts. i don't think they're universal. you can purchase a resonator to reduce the sound of your existing exhaust if you want. i'm thinking about doing that cause the cabin noise is really quite annoying for people who don't ride in my car occasionally.

5. why are you asking so many questions? it's so that people like me can work on my "freak" status on this site. hehe

 

1. any film by 3M...i got 20% refelective all around, 50% smoke on the windshield.

2. add a resonator like a CherryBomb in between the cat' and the muffler. it will just let the exhaust expand a little more before it gets past the muff'.

3. i guess by modifying the wiring you could accomplish that.

4. the silencer will just obstruct exhaust flow. you can make one by cutting a disk of aluminum or steel to match the inside diameter of your muffler then drilling a hole in the middle to let out less exhaust. start with a 3/4" then go bigger to match your tastes. to secure the disk in your muffler, drill through the muffler, position the disk, then set using screws. doing this defeats the purpose of having an aftermarket exhaust.

i don't quite remember, but i'm pretty sure it's illegal to drive with only your parking lights on. it's like on your DMV test man!!!

 

I don't think so either that it's illegal to drive with your parking light during day time. I don't think people will really notice your parking lights are on during the day time. If you like to have them on, just turn them ON - If you want to have your parking lights on as day-time-running-light, i guess you will have to ask to see if someone knows how to re-wire that for you .

but i am a little worried about the loudness of my car.. its not loud like a truck, but its louder then i want so would an exhaust mod even help this ??

 

well after listening to it again, its the engine not the exhaust... what do i do ?

 

What kind of noise is it making? A ticking noise? Knocking?

 

its not a "noise" but it is noise

its overall loudness, like when i start it and step out it sounds loud

 

Hey Tre..... I understand the loudness.... I have that problem too.... Have you ever dropped your car yet? well to the point do u ever scrap the bottom of your car?
The noise I have sounds not like a truck but a mini truck sound.. is that what u have? It sounds like it is coming from the HEADER CONNECTING to the Cat back... our whatever the header is connected to down at the bottom... it maybe opend up alittle..
Because I scrap mine couple of times on the drive way when I Had a dope a$$ slam. But I learned real quick and I pushed it back up.... I believe that is what you are talking about....
So go outside turn your car on open your ears and go under the car OR open hood and look deep inside.. u can hear it.... WhoOp there is....!!

 

i dunno about the sound
before i put in my intake and exhaust, it was pretty quiet
a lot hell quieter than an integra

but now with the exhaust, when it is started and i listen to the engine, all i hear is the whistling of the intake... sweet sound!

 

Redeye......what kind of intake do u have? how much? if its ok .. can i ask where or how can i get one?... i also have extended waranty on my car.... if i do put one in would i lose my extended waranty....? for messing around with the engine..

in my option everyone on this board should get an aftermarket cone filter, they make such a huge difference. the air filter does not void your warenty.
