Question Question..help Please..

MY 98 2.5 HAD JUST RECENTLY HIT 80K AND EVERYTHING ON IT WORKS FINE EXCEPT WHEN I TAKE THE RPM HIGH IT SMELLS LIKE OIL BURNING OR SOMETHIN..BUT ANYWAYS..DO I NEED A TUNE-UP OR ANYTHING AT 80K..AND ALSO AT HOW MANY MILES DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE TIMING BELT...SUGGESTIONS WILL BE APPRECIATED VERY MUCH..

Timing Belt change is recommended at 105K miles.

I would still do it earlier, though. My car's first one was changed at 85,000 before I got the car, and I just changed it recently at 223,000. It'll make it, but I still wouldn't like to hear your next post being: "My timing belt snapped..." Check your valve seals or buy one of those Bar's Stop Leak/No Smoke.

Check the distributor heat shield for oil draining. It will require a good mirror on a rod to see the drain path. Oring that seals distributor to head is prone to leakage.

Valve cover and spark plug tube seals are also places to check for oil leaks.

yes good point i had oil leaking in those areas two had to replace all of them
