Question about Legends....

Did the Legend engines have VTEC?

Thanks... and if possible, what year did VTEC first debut and in what car?

<trying to settle a debate w/ a friend>

The Legends NEVER EVER had VTEC. End of that debate.

They used the C32 engine (almost identical to the 3.2 used in the 1st Generation TL)

Most Legends had 200 hp, just like the TL. Others, had the Type II engine which made 230 hp. That engine was sometimes paired with a 6 speed manual... VERY fast.

I almost bought a '95 GS 6 speed but the TL I bought had the Acura warranty on it. The GS had about 40,000 extra miles too. It seems that people drive the crap out of their Legends before selling them (for good reason too!)

They are both C32 engines however the TL's were updated slightly to be safer in a crash and also for emissions restrictions. But 99% of the components are identical.

Its like two twins who have different freckles.
