Pipe number 7, anyone know what it does? Does the car really need it?

 

it just part of the cat back system, your quation was does ur car really needs it, well if u think about replacing it with a custom pipping no its not important, thats the part the conect to the y pip to the modifold system..

 

u should PM SUBINF he knows a shitload about exhaust..hes built a few of his own....im sure he can help u out with any exhaust questions

 

That looks like the flexpipe, if so than yes you need it for when your motor moves so the exhaust doesn't snap.

 

he is right... u can replace it with a universal flex pipe thats what i did... total cost 60 bucks..

its a very expensive part..

 

I second that. The aftermarket is of better function anyways in my opinion.
Or just let it go, get that horsepower sound when you hit the gas.
