Well, here it goes.. It happend in April, 2001... I was making a left hand turn ( I had the yellow arrow) and The light I guess turned green fo the oncomming traffic. But as I was making the turn the oncomming traffic was still at a halt. In the far right lane of the oncomming traffic there was no one. The lane next to it had a big ass truck so I really could'nt see if anyone was comming anyway but there was no one waiting in the lane anyway.. I make the turn and SMACK!! on the pass. side.. my car flew sideways and up on the curb. The pass side glass (the whole window held together by tint) shot out of the car and landedn in the street. I had no seatbelt on so I was thrown against the driver door.. The car that hit me was a 1988 hachback toyota trecell... A rockship of steel... She hit me dead in the center of thr front and rear pass doors the beam of the car v'ing it in like a fortune cookie... see the pics...

Man, glad you came out of it in one piece. The driver side looks painful. Side door impacts are dead-serious. Are you planning on rebuilding?

the car was struck on the passanger side... nah too much structural damage so the car was totaled.. I got a Legend Coupe instead..

ack... i couldn't bear to see any more. Got into a pretty serious one a couple yrs. ago coming onto the highway during rush hour.... looked back to my left to check oncoming traffic while merging into the fast lane and nailed one, which hit another, which hit another, which finally hit another. Sucked being w/o car for a month. Had I known bout the front lips...i'd be there for sure. dammit. well, had a small fender bender couple wks ago that i still have to get fixed... messed up my grill a little, bent my hood,....but bumper seems intact. Hate to say it, but I'm doing a real bang-up job on my ride.... just thought you'd like to know that you're not alone.

That sucks man. Looks like the TL held up pretty good in the accident. That's good to know. And glad you were ok.

what did you do with the TL? i was wondering if youre interested in selling the OEM burlwood shifter that you had in the TL

glad u got out OK. looks like u took a nasty one there, bro. there may be salvageable parts that some of us would be interested in, if you still have the title. what kind of TL is that? i noticed the driver side is on the right. just curious. hows the 3.5 workin' for u?...aloha...

The 2.5 has gone to TL heaven... I wish I could have got the shifter and the burlwood console out but they only allow you to take parts that you can replace them with. It happen in Miami and the parts were in GA so I couldn get the parts on time... 200.00 gone... Oh well... All I can say is keep your OEM pars if you get aftermarket so you can put it back on just in case this happens to you.... The car was USDM the pics just were reversed.... As for the Legend coupe I purchased.. I LUV that 230 hp V6!!! but miss the 4-doors.... I had LOTS of fun in that back seat! Wish I could have kept that..
