The black interior was not an option on the 1st Gen TL's. The 2nd Gen TL's got that...

I could have sworn I saw someone with a black interior... I believe it was when I was looking at pictures someone posted of the reverse-glow guages, and I saw their little red security LED mounted behind the steering wheel, on Black plastic.. i know i've seen it!

Funny since the outside color is the glossy white.

I believe they call the color "charcoal", not really black. Does anyone know why they don't use black? Wouldn't black look more luxury?

All I can think of when I look at the "charcoal" interior is how hot it would be... Hot as in temperature. I already have to air out my car for a few minutes before I can get in. 100 degree days are just around the corner too.

haha yeah my mom has a black interior in her lex.. its not quite as bad as youd think it would be though ofcourse you live in texas.. probably a little worse there. I normally just put all the windows down when I first start the car to get all the hot air out then put them up and cool the air..

TLBaller, I'm out around Cypress (290). I dunno about May 22, since I have something planned that night. Maybe I can stop by on the way.

My last car had a black interior and a dark exterior. Once, it sprung a freon leak over the weekend or so. Didn't discover the problem until Monday, but with work and school, I couldn't fix it until the next weekend. WOW that was a nightmarish time in my life.

And then I remember this one person (and when I say person, I mean girl) wanted a ride home during that week. She said we'd be alright if the windows were down... Just the little issue of no airflow when you're stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. I don't recall us ever talking again.

The car does get hot, especially since i havet tinted it yet. Luckily our AC's blow icy cold air immediately when its turned on, so it really isnt all that bad.
