Parking lights?

Can anyone tell me what kind of bulbs are the parking lights in the headlight?
I have changed all of them except those so far with hyper whites.

you can get colored leds from http://autolumination.com/194.htm but i had some trouble getting them to work because they use less power then normal bulbs...so i ended up switching to normal colored bulbs.

yeah leds aren't as good as i thought.... i wasted my money switching every friggin bulb in my car to leds...(brake lights, parking lights, dome lights, courtesy lights, turn signal lights) they're not worth it! i noticed that leds focus the light onto a point rather illuminate the whole housing... the worst case is to have leds in the domes and courtesy lights. instead of illuminating the whole cabin inside, it'll just focus on where ever you face the leds at.

The Police are pretty lenient here in Alberta, let alone Canada. I have never been stopped once for having the LED's. And I know for a fact that the cops have seen them face on.

Shinoshi, that is just plain sweet! Those would look so good with my blue Kryptonite headlight bulbs. I hate my parking lights, they look all... yellowish and nasty compared to my headlights. Are those legal in the US? Can you provide a link or something with more info? Also, do you have clear housing covers for the lights or are those the stock housing covers?

Speaking of dome lights, I want to add some color to the interior lighting of my car... but if LEDs only focus at one point, then I'm not interested. Isn't there any other way?

Vincent,

The LEDs can be purchased from eAutoWorks.com:

http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-14450.cfm

Here is the link for more bulbs.. :

http://www.eautoworks.com/html/bulbSearch-1-ACURA.htm

Just scroll to the bottom.

Hope this answers your question.

The housing is completly stock. If your asking about the bumper light housings, there is a link provided in this thread.

Thanks man! All my questions have been answered. I have to find out if they are legal... as the site claims to take no responsibility.

About the parking light bulbs, are those the rights ones? The description makes no reference to color...

I don't believe that any colour other than amber and white, maybe red, are allowed to be displayed on the exterior of your car. Im not entirely sure on this, seeing as how Canadian law's are different from US laws. You would need to check with your local authorities regarding this.

From eAutoWorks.com:

Polarg White LED Wedge Type Twin Pack Bulb. Manufactory part no: 194 , 168 , 158 , 12256 , 12961

The boldfaced words answer your question. White in colour, and they are part #194/168.

They are actually hyperwhite. As in they give off a slight blue colour.

Hope some of this answers your remanding questions :P

So technically... they are legal, if I leave out the 'hyper' part.

Still not sure. I know of people getting pulled over for having just the clear bumper lights, without amber bulbs. Or maybe it was just for the actual turn signal light. You might be fine with the coloured LED's.

Two ways to find out:

1) Check with authorities about coloured bulbs on the exterior of your car and;

2) Buy the LED's, and drive around at night. Bound to be some cops around. See if you get pulled over. If you have a good record, it'll only be a warning. If they don't stop you, then your home free.

Well, I might as well try it as I've never been pulled over. I don't see why it would be a problem as the turn signal lights are still be amber and they can be seem from the sides and front.
