Painting the side skirts?

Hey guys,
I was wondering if any of yall have ever removed the black side skirts and painted them? If so, what kind of paint did you use, and did you do any sanding or anything?
Thanks!

How did you take them off? Are they a pain in the ass?

Removing the clips at the bottom suk to remove.. then there is 2 screws in the front of the side skirt.. the u have to push the skirt foward with a rubber hammer and they will slide off... The adheasive promotor comes in a can and so does the primer sufacer.. this can be bought at ur local body shop supplies store.. as for the paint it was not a spray can it is real urathan ppg paint. Can only be sprayed with a paint gun. Soo with 1 quart of paint and clear i belive ur looking at 120 to 150. Depending on what brand u get and quality of it as well.. so buy the time ur done ur lookong at 200. Also dont forget the paint both... I did mine the way i explained it to u here and the paint has not peeled or anything like that panint still looks clean
