STOP!
Before you spend more money than the car is worth!
Call up a local parts place and ask, What repare shop is the best and most honest in the aera! Then have them do it for you.
At least go to the parts place and look at one first. The picture that you have doesn`t have the starter on it! It shows the alt. and the AC Copressor, You don`t want to mess with either one!
You`ll save your self a bundle of money and it will get done right the first time.

Good Luck!

I've done it

The starter is located on the driver's side towards the BACK of the engine. You will have to remove the Driver's side wheel AND DRIVESHAFT to be able to remove it. If you don't have accesss to a full hoist, it is going to be a pain in the butt, trust me, I did it WITH a hoist and it was a pain to get to. Some of the bolts, particularly the upper one are very difficult as well, as the exhaust is in the way. If there is a good respectable re-build shop in your are call them and take it to themmost can have it back within the day if you get it to them soon enough. Otherwise you are looking at over $300 to pruchase one, and almost $500 from the dealer. Hope this helps.

The starter in the 2.5 should be directly under your intake manifold, in order to gain access to the starter you will have to remove the intake manifold, a very cumbersome and messy process if you ask me. A lot of nuts and bolts in hard to reach areas. But if you like to get down and dirty, I had mine out in less than 20 mins, but don't forget where everything goes :wow:
