New TL owner

I just got a 97 Acura 3.2TL in dark blue... I want to start doing some stuff to it, but not quite sure where to start. I've been looking for engine mods but can't really find much that adds a significant boost. Being in jersey NOS is out of the question along with dark tint.

Any suggestions?

for go fast goodies, some guys here buy a air intake made for acura legends and place it in their 3.2. thats about it for engine modifications. oh there are spark plug wires you might want to look into. there are no headers, pulleys, cam gears, cam shaft or anything so...

welcome to the forum!

I was looking at the Venom 400 performance control module. It says it can boost horsepower up to 25%. Has anyone actually installed it and checked the hp boost? Also I was looking at an apexi AFC but I can't tell if they are made for Acura's or if it doesn't even matter what brand. Which would you choose.

What brand spark plug wires also?

Can't do much to the engine. Can get an intake, otherwise mostly appearance mods. Like clear bumper lenses, diff color headlights, dashkit, springs, rims, tint, exhaust, etc.

the venom 400 is a waste of money, it's pretty much a cpu that tricks the ecu into thinking that you're pressing on the gas peddle harder than you really are. the AFC would also be pointless cause our cars are pretty well tuned and we don't have v-tech, oh wait, at least the 2.5's don't.

I've been looking for spark plug wires for the 3.2TL but can't find any. The only thing I can find is for the 2.5TL... Can you actually change the spark plug wires on a 3.2TL???

I'm pretty sure that the 3.2 has a VTEC engine in it. Don't know exactly where to confirm that though

Welcome to the forum man.

Just like everyone else said, there really aren't performance parts for these cars....so you gotta pimp it out and make it look fast, heh heh...

About the M3 lip spoiler, which of the models and years will fit on our car? If you could just point me to a link of which one that would be great. I searched and they have a bunch of them for a few ranges of years.

Shouldn't be too much, less than $100...make sure they prep it and prime it correctly.
