Alright my original battery just died and I went to Sears, I am wondering if they just stuck it to me. Is there a major difference between the gold and the silver diehard? I ended getting the gold so I suppose it's too late now but is there going to be some huge difference between the two? The only think I did notice is how fast the car starts up now. Not that it lagged when starting up but it seems a little faster. Oh have a 97 so I am guessing 5 years is about standard?

 

maybe the CCA rating is higher for the gold than silver. as long as you get the recommended CCA battery for the car, then anything higher than that is purely your choice.
