Need motor mount

Well found out the reason for the "cachunk" sound when my car shifts from 1st to 2nd, broken motor mount. Apparently this is a common problem on our cars, but damn these things are spendy!!! Cheapest i've found is $125 at rockauto.com, anybody have suggestions for a cheaper alternative?

Thanks

Miles

Take it out piece it together and try to fabricate it your self if you are good at welding and machining, if not take the pieces to a machine shop and see what they will charge to fabricate one, custom fabricated pieces will always be stronger anyway.

Good idea, but can you do that with these mounts? They are hydraulic.

I found another site that has em for 85 bucks. The dealership wants 260 for the front and 380 for the rear!!!

We have Hydraulic egine dampers? Wow that cool. Is it the Hydraulic actuator that is broke or the mounting brakets that are attached to the actuator.

Yes, our mounts have fluid in them that change according to the RPM's.

Read about the 1st gen RL engine mounts or what Lexus uses.. even more complex!
