I'm having a problem starting my car recently. Sometime I just heear a click and click and after a few time it will finally start. It seem like only happen in the morning when the weather is really cold outside. What can this be? My starter went bad? Had did happen to any of you in the past. Appreciate for any input.

that was last thursday when they checked my car for the same problem and the called me and said that it waas the battery
i couldn't believe it
ok, so they wanted 120.00 to repalace the battery but the guy told me they weren't 100% sure he said maybe a 90%
so I said ok change the battery
an hour later he call me again and told me that he didn't have the battery that day
then next day he called me again and told me that they checked the car again and the battery was good
it was the starter
now I have an extended warranty and I gave him the paperwork so he can call the warranty people
and he said to me don't worry we are going to pay for it
they didn't use my warranty
so when I went home I checked if they really change the starter
and they did brand new and since last week no problems at all
so they didn't charge me and he gave me a rental for those 2 days

Really...they replace the starter for you with no charge. Maybe this is part of the recall. I will call and ask Acura about that. If not wonder how much it will cost to get this fix at a private shop.

Had my starter done last year at 75K miles. Cost me $100 (deductable form extented warrantee). The regular was $500+.

 

actaulyl this morning my car wouldn't start either ... i thought it was maybe the battery low cause i haven't started it in a couple days and it was really cold last night under 30 degree... so i hooked up the jumper nothing.. let it charge the batter for like an hour.. tried again.. clickclickclick... then my dad came out and told me that the gas line prob froze up.. try holding down the gas pedal... then i remember that in the manual somewhere it did mention that... so i held gas pedal down all the way and started it... voila.. vroom... gotta get some gas treatment tomm... lolz...
