Okay, first post here, I come from acura-cl website, as I own a 2001 Agean Blue CL-S. The other day I was shopping used cars with a friend, and found a 1996 3.2 TL, Pearl White, everything on it, including heated seats, in pristine condition, with 96k on it. I am highly interested in it, cause I can get rid of the CL in order to save money, since the lease isnt up til next July, I will just sell it Private party for whatever the payoff is.

I talked to the lady that owns it, turns out, she won a Lexus ES300 in a raffle, and she is asking 8900 for the TL, but she told me she wants to get rid of it, its taking up space, I offered her 8000 cash straight out, she said we could make a deal. Is this a great bargain? The car is hot! Nothing wrong with it whatsoever, it has new starter, tires, and all maintenance records from dealer, she is original owner. Somebody let me know, and if all goes well, you'll see me in here more often, but its gonna take a little while to sell the CL, if interested, let me know. It has only 30k on it, and just had the new 03' tranny put it, runs great.

 

96k mi is just about right.. the blue book value of your car is i think...12-15 g's i believe.. somebody correct me. anyway, the aftermarket parts for this car is rare. its not like the 2nd gen TL/CL or 1st gen CL's.. we're the forgotten "L series" no joke..

 

$8K is not bad...you could probably do a little better. Did she have all of the recalls done. 90K service? Brakes? Pass smog? I just replaced the cat ($1K) because it didn't pass smog.

Where is So.Cal are you? I've got a '97 3.2TL in OC.

 

I'd jump on that one. I paid 11 for a 2.5 in '01. Sounds like a steal. Good luck.

 

Yeah I have a white 96 2.5 and it's a great car. You won't be dissapointed. Great ride, lots of options, and look nice hookd up ofcourse.....

 

You can always turn around and try to sell it to make a $1,000.
