Hey guys I read this forum alot but never have posted. I do need some advice. My wife has a 1997 Acura TL and it has been heating up. Well Acura thinks it is a head gasket but I told them to hold off on the leak down check. We do have some oil in the radiator, it collects around the neck. What should I do think of getting an engine from junk yard or having gasket repaired. Right now we have a 2005 TL as a loaner it is nice but way out of my league now. I am military veteran and trying to get other things like a house. Any way help... by the way the car has had this condition for a while and we have taken it at least six hours away from our home on vacation with no problems. Had them check it while getting some work done to my windows..

im not sure how u like to have maintenence on ur cars.. but i typically don't like stealerships to do my major engine work... i would take it to another place for a second opinion... did Acura tell u how much it would cost to replace the head gasket??? is there any coolant in the oil pan or dipstick?
