my brake lights wobt come on when i press my breaks

Ok when i turn on my lghts at night the tails lights come on but when i mash my brakes they dont glow what could be the problem

the bulbs are probably burnt... but if they are then the break light should come on.

Or the sensor that connects to the pedal is bad.

bad brake switch. Its a $40 ish dollar part from the dealer. I might actually have an extra. I'll check tomorrow.

It looks to be a bear to replace. I couldn't even touch the damn thing when I had this problem. Fortunately, a good shot of wd40 and "exercising" the switch resolved the problem. Worth a try!

Yeah the bulbs are brand new so I know its not the bulbs but...I've heard somethin bout the brake pedal switch but not sure how to get to it and once I try it ill try the wd40 if that dosent work ill have to buy it from some where 40 dollars dosent sound so bad...
