My 2.5 TL experience

A coworker of mine has a 96 2.5 TL and we traded for the day. He's never driven a 1st generation 3.2 TL, so we agreed to swap. His car is stock by the way. A clean, well maintained car with just over 90,000 miles.

My thoughts:

The 2.5 suspension is perfect. It has a bit less "float" than the 3.2 and has excellent damping qualities. Less body roll for sure thanks to less weight up front. My only complaint, his steering seemed less heavy than mine. Dunno why. It stayed light all day

What surprises me in that car is how it doesn't seem like a 5 cylinder motor. It sounds like a mean 4 cylinder that loves to rev. And acts like a small inline 6. To sum up, its drives like a Honda 4 cylinder with balls. And that is a compliment all the way. Not as much torque as I'm used to, but the reduced weight combined with a willingness to rev makes it a fun car 176 hp? Ha! Feels closer to 200 and I'm 99% certain Honda underrated the power for marketing purposes.

To sum up, i'd be quite happy with a 2.5 TL

No doubt! I'm sure the adaptive motor mounts have a little say in how the car preforms. I was watching my motor rock side to side this morning while revving it to 2K. Any higher and the whole car tips as it I were a bus lowering it for old people, . Need to get money...

~Cheers~

P.S. My steering is light as hell which is alright but luckily, once the car notices I'm driving a little harder, it stiffens up even for parking.

I remember you had that thing for, like, 3 weeks or something. Sold it quick!

~Cheers~
