A few guys on here have gotten a Legend intake. You have to do a few modifications to it for it to work but they said they saw improves in mpg and HP almost immediately.
Yes the Type II manifold is off of the Type II Legend.
Get a Remus, Magnaflow or Flowmaster. <--This can all change as soon as a Cali guy comes in here and says that you should get an exhaust from Japan.

Even I have a MagnaFlow, haha! I'd love something else, but hey, I didn't want to wait or spend $1000 on this one muffler I REALLY want. Yeah, a grand for just the muffler.

The EGR code means the inside of your EGR chamber probably looks like this:

The area between the two protruding bolts is actually where the EGR pipe goes.

Well damn... if a 3.2 can upgrade its exahaust manifold via swap... I guess we 2.5s are left behind in that department then... =T
I've been looking into an exhaust manifold ever since mine cracked... only has a temporary fix with a welding... would really like to upgrade instead of simply replace. My philosophy is if it breaks... always and only replace it with something better.

Well, I found an upgraded exhaust manifold for us 2.5s
http://www2.partstrain.com/store/det...location=Upper
I presume it is an upgrade considering it is illegal in good ol' CA...

The 3.2 TL has 200 hp, the Legend had a 200 hp and a 230 hp engine.
The 230 hp motor was known as a Type II, it had various parts that can be easily swapped.

Stripping a TL is the only other way to obtain one... or stripping a Vigor. Why would a stock manifold not be CA legal though? It does mention being 50-state compliant though...
New manifolds range the same as a cat in the price department. because no one makes 'em really... =T

^ Not really, when DC headers can be bought brand new for say, a K20, for about $300. The best way to put the $700 to use is to design and fab a header for yourself. That way, you can make sure the runner length, pipe diameter and collector design is the right size/shape for your needs. I think one can be made for less than $700, too.

^ you can buy a new cat for $100..
pay a shop to make you some equal length headers, they will probably charge around the same. you dont want an exhaust all in one piece in my opinion, a bitch to work with.. and if you dont weld it would be easier to just unbolt the parts
i'm gonna see if my friend who welds for his job will make me some with the cat removed from the header, then get a high flow primary cat..
oh and you can find a new exhaust manifold for $479..

no but u can make one very easily: all u need is 90 degree elbow tube and a 92-98 civic ram air intake tube plus filter of ur choice; all can be done for under 100 $

Thank you so much, Stas2007! But what size of the 90 degree tube?
