So far I've got 2 Rockford Power 1100A2's (one for each sub), 1 Rockford 800A4 (for the Focals), and 2 JL 12W7's. I'm probably gonna get Focal PolyKevlars for the highs and lots of Stinger stuff. Hehe. I cant wait. I'm getting my alternator next. I paid $1036 for the subs from StreetEffectz. He's the best.

Thanks! I can't wait to install these things!

TowerOfLove, I'm using the RF amps. Each sub should be getting about 1000 watts. Thanks anyway.

morpheus97tl, the subs aren't installed yet. That peice of wood around it comes like that from JL. They pack these things up real good!

I paid $518 for each JL 12W7. The chrome RF 1100A2's go for about $600-$700 each and the chrome RF 800A4 is about $500. They discontinued those amps so it depends where you buy
them from now. I called Rockford direct and they wanted $900 for a black 1100A2, not even chrome. I already had an 1100A2 in my car but its black, a chrome casing is gonna cost me $150
alone. Its gonna look sweet though. You can install them wherever you want. I’m gonna flush mount mine in the floor in front of the box. I’ll have no trunk left whatsoever.

I'm sure its possible but I wouldn't do it. You're better off getting one 10 in the trunk. The alumapro 10" that comes in a box sounds nice. I've heard it before and was impressed.

im kicking you out of the "rf dvc" club.. you got all rf gear, why sell out and get w7?? lol jk actually, i had the opportunity to get w7's for 3 bills each but turned it down because my dvc's already make my car rattle so its no use to get w7s... id personally get w7's if i had some other car but the 1st gens will always rattle no matter what......even if you dynamat your car. good luck

RF makes good amps but not subs. They're strictly SPL, no SQ whatsoever. RF's pound dont get me wrong, but W7's pound and still sound GOOD. You can listen to W7s from the rear with the trunk open and they sound good. I know my Power DVCs sounded horrible with the trunk open. I would never let someone listen to them with the trunk up because they would think they're sh*t. I love my RF 1100A2 so I wouldn't give that up unless I was getting a Zapco but I'm not spending all that money on one amp. Since I already had one 1100A2 it was cheaper to just buy another. As far as 1st gens rattling, what rattles in your car? The inside or outside? I had some rattles inside but my highs covered it up most of the time. My rear plate rattled but I fixed that. With enough foam and dynamat, you can stop most of the rattles but with 2 12W7's, over 2000 watts and a box built by Streeteffectz, I dont know....

BTW, I'll be selling my 2 12" Power DVC's soon. I paid like $600 for them 3 years ago and they're in great shape. I dont abuse my subs. If anyone is interested, let me know. Keep in mind what I said above though. SPL subs, not SQ.

well my cousin has a 96 tl with 4 12" power dvc...the set up was soooo clean! it was powered by 2 big ass ppi amps but this was like 4-5 years ago.. anyway, he dynamat his whole trunk and the trunk lid was rattling like a mofo.. i only have 2 dvc's and it still rattles. what rattles on my car is the trunk lid. my license plate use to rattle but i placed 2 sponges back there and it stopped, now the trunk lid rattles. i was sitting on my trunk (with the lid closed) and it still rattled!!!!!! im telling you man... those w7's will just make your car sound ghetto. hey, at least the set up is nice huh?? you gotta post pics dog..

It still rattled with Dynamat? Damn. Maybe I'll do 2 layers. My trunks gonna be so heavy already. If you wanna get your amp dipped e-mail some places that dip wheels. There should be a few in Texas too. Maybe you could just go there. You'll need to open your amp and take the casing off though. It should cost like $75 at most. Its $150 from Rockford. Maybe a little less since the 800A2 is a little smaller. Maybe $125?
