Keyless Remote for 96' 2.5 TL.

Guys I lost my remote for my 96 2.5. I ordered one on Ebay cuz I can't standing not haveing mine.

I can't get it to work. Can someone please give me the FCC ID on the back of their remote. The new one I got looks just like my old one, but I didn't realize that there could be diff FCC ids.

And if anyone knows programing instructions that would be helpful to.

Thanks A lot!

I bought one on Ebay but could never get it to work right either. Since it never had one to begin with I gave up and bought a Viper alarm w/ remote start.

Anyhoo.. The remote I have right here is "FCC ID: KOBUTA1T". If you think it will work better and you(or anyone for that matter) need this one you can have it. I'm never going to use it..

Programming instructions are PAIN in the butt. If you have an Acura dealer nearby they will do it for free. If not, then here is what I did. Put the key in the ignition, turn it until it clicks twice (not three times, no need to start the car) and then back to off, do this about 5 or 6 times and while doing this, click on the unlock/lock buttons on the remote fob. Eventually it figures out that the car belongs to it.

If that doesn't work let me know, I'll do try it myself again and post it.

I guess the administrator is afraid of the competition. He automatically covers Acura World with ********.

I just bought a 963.2premium from the original owner. 57K and pretty mint, except that the keyless remote just crapped out. I figured it was the batteries, bought new ones, and nothing. What now? I'm lazy enought to where usingv the key in the door is a pain. Any suggestions?

Try reprogramming it. *** You have to do both remotes at the same time. ***
